Keating Building Corporation was selected to provide construction management services for Tropicana’s $247 Million, 1,857,444 sq ft expansion of their existing hotel and resort complex in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The expansion includes the 500-room Havana Tower, which, at 310,903sq ft includes 18 impressive stories with four high-finish Penthouse Level Board Rooms and four luxurious Penthouse Level Hospitality Suites.
The centerpiece of this project, The Quarter, is a 200,000 sq ft dining, entertainment, and retail center, which brings to life the streets of Old Havana through a sprawling three-story streetscape, offering guests unique dining, shopping, entertainment, and spa experiences.
The Quarter includes 16 world-class restaurants, 14 non-stop entertainment venues, a dazzling array of shops, and a 20,000 sq ft meeting and convention facility which holds 19 new meeting rooms, 3 board rooms and pre-function space. Keating’s scope also included 35,000 sq ft of fit out to house an IMAX Theater, Philly Sound Night Club, Tropicana’s Casino Lounge, Red Square Restaurant and six other smaller retail spaces. The garage provides 10 levels of parking for 2,400 cars.
Since this project’s completion, Tropicana has become a single integrated property of the largest hotel, the third largest casino, and the only indoor dining/entertainment/retail complex in Atlantic City.
