This project encompassed a new 20,000 sq ft Ambulatory Care Pavilion, 2,350 sq ft Intensive Care Unit addition, and over 60,000 sq ft of renovations involving medical/surgical step-down units, rehabilitation unit, cooling tower replacement, entrance roads, and site landscaping.
The project was approached under a multi-phased plan and involved relocation of various inpatient operations and re-occupancy as renovated areas were complete. The initial phase required extensive renovation of the existing ICU, as well as expansion of this unit into an adjacent hospital area containing patient rooms. This particular facility housed the very active main hospital entrance and sterile processing area beneath the ICU. Keating maintained uninterrupted service for this 24 hour a day acute care hospital. Tie-ins to existing water, medical gases, heating and sanitary line was accomplished during non-peak hours.
The second phase involved construction of the new Ambulatory Care Pavilion on an adjacent parking lot.
