Health Institute of New Jersey New Brunswick, NJ Keating and Devco, in conjunction with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), have developed the most comprehensive biomedical research center in the U.S. which focuses on the genetic, environmental, and behavioral factors of human growth and development; chiefly the prevention, treatment, and cure of childhood diseases. This expansive research and development facility, situated among the campuses for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, includes laboratories, offices and administrative space, a transgenic gene targeting facility, and vivarium (54,000 sq ft of Research Space: 20,000 sq ft Vivarium/34,000 sq ft Clinical). The Child Health Institute is a nationally recognized clinical research center for children’s diseases and will be the newest addition to New Brunswick’s largest medical campus. It will serve as the launching pad for additional redevelopment in the immediate area, further strengthening New Brunswick’s concentration in the health care industry. |
