Keating Building Corporation was selected by the State of New Jersey to serve as Construction Manager for the new $85 million Troop C Headquarters/Communications Center and State Police Technology Center — a state-of-the-art complex serving as the center for high technology law enforcement activity for the entire state of New Jersey.
The complex houses the Troop C Headquarters, Firing Range, Helipad and Technology Complex.
The Headquarters & Firing Range is contained within two structures: 1) a 79,000 sq ft building containing a consolidated Communications Center for the Division of State Police, Department of Transportation, the Department of Environmental Protection and an enclosed garage, and 2) a 21,485 sq ft Police Firing Range with 21 lanes for weapon training and practice. The support structures include a fuel depot and helipad facility totaling 7,856 sq ft.
The Technology Complex is a 195,000 sq ft structure housing several NJSP bureaus: The State Police Forensic Sciences Bureau, Records and Identification Section, Information Technology Bureau, various investigative units, a forensic laboratory, and common facilities.
