Working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Keating Building Corporation provided general contractor services for this 335,000 sq. ft., 14-story federal detention center located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. The project received the "Cast-in-Place Frame" Construction Award.
The Philadelphia Federal Detention Center is a 628-cell facility housing detainees awaiting trial in the adjacent Byrne/Greene Federal Courthouse (recently renovated by Keating Building Corporation). An underground tunnel links the two buildings.
