Keating completed Hewlett Packard’s state-of-the-art divisional headquarters, a 360,000 sq.ft. complex housing R & D, offices, assembly and marketing space for HP’s Analytical Products Group. Gas and liquid chromatographies, data handling systems and sample preparations are developed, manufactured and marketed here.
The three-story facility contains four L-shaped wings constructed around two central courtyards and terraced surface parking for 1,240. Keating took extensive steps to protect the environmental balance on this 59-acre project site which contained hundred-year-old trees. An environmental inventory was taken to determine species, age and health of the trees; removal was kept to a minimum.
