The University of Pennsylvania selected Keating Building Corporation to perform Value Engineering and Construction Management Services for the construction of Levine Hall, the first new building entirely dedicated to the School of Engineering since the construction of the Graduate Research Wing in the 1960’s. The program included construction of the 40,000 sq ft Levine Hall, Renovations to the Towne Building and Graduate Research Wing, and related site, utility, and landscape improvements.
Levine Hall provides laboratory and office space for cutting-edge research activity and for the expansion of the faculty. It houses the Computer and Information Science Departments, the Robotics (GRASP) lab, a bi-level auditorium, a cyber lounge and a steel-and-glass pavilion facing Walnut Street for displaying student work, notably the solar car project.
