When Dan Keating, III established Keating Building Corporation in 1976, the company offered construction services to a diverse market, including the corporate, hospitality, pharmaceutical, government, and institutional sectors. Soon after the formation of Keating Building Corporation, Keating saw the wisdom in creating a single source of value-enhancing services and he formed affiliate development and environmental management companies. Recently, Keating took his vision one step further by adding a full range of investment services as well. Together, these companies are known as The Keating Group.

The Keating Group is a private company based in Philadelphia. It has a significant presence in many markets, but is most prominent in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. Keating Environmental Management, the third component of The Keating Group, provides environmental consulting, assessments, construction and remediation services to both public and private sector clients. Keating Environmental’s highly-skilled team possesses the expertise needed for the successful investigation, cleanup and redevelopment of properties with environmental problems, including contaminated industrial sites and Brownfields.
